Lisa Machen Fifield was born and raised on a potato farm in Roberts, Idaho. As a small child, she dreamed of becoming a professional dancer, and travelling the world. Upon completion of her studies at the University of Utah, Lisa was offered the chance of a lifetime: to become China’s first-ever American dancer. Lisa took a leap of faith and travelled to a part of the world that she had only dreamed of! Touring and performing more than one hundred performances throughout China and in the United States, Lisa’s most memorable moment dancing with the Guangzhou Ballet was when Lisa was not cast in a part. The Yellow River ballet was a national and traditional piece of music, associated with Chinese national identity, and she was not Chinese. Lisa, however, was not to be thwarted. She learned every part and attended every rehearsal. Two days before opening night, a soloist dancer in the company twisted her ankle, and moments later, Lisa was called upon to fill her spot! Bathed in red light, and hearing thunderous applause fill the auditorium as a large communist flag fell as the backdrop, Lisa felt honor and gratitude fill her heart for having been given the privilege of being born in America.

After returning to the United States, Lisa became Miss Idaho Falls, ID and began sharing her love of Chinese with the community and teaching American students to love and appreciate the Chinese language and culture. She has worked for the State of Utah’s Governor’s Office in Foreign Relations as a translator and interpreter, Samsung’s Utah Olympic Games in 2002, and as a liaison for Utah China-Harvard Business Group. She has been fortunate to host numerous foreign dignitaries and delegations from Taiwan and China. And feels very fortunate to have been raised by parents who taught her the value of hard work, and faith in the Lord. She is the mother of two children, Kate, and Jane, who are the angels of her life. Her husband Nathan is the love of her life, and she recognizes the hand of God as the source of their strength.

梅清纱在爱德华州出生。她出生在一个土豆农场家庭；从小就梦想着成为一名芭蕾舞者。1999年广州芭蕾舞团的张丹丹邀请她去中国跳舞。不过她那个时候只会说一个句子：‘’我不知道。‘’。梅清纱一飞到中国立刻就发现一件事：她觉得中国也是她的国家。因此她立刻去找中国朋友帮助她学习中国的语言文化社会与历史。一次，她有机会学习团里的 ‘’黄河‘’ 芭蕾舞。可是因为她不是中国人因此她不被允许参加这个舞蹈表演。梅清纱却不轻易放弃；她仍然参加每一个排练；努力学习；她学会了每一位舞者的舞步。表演即将开始时，一位舞者忽然受伤了；梅清纱因此得以代替表演她的部分。

以共产党的大红旗作为背景，整个大礼堂笼罩在红色灯光下，听到阵如雷般的掌声，梅清纱感觉到极大的荣耀与感谢；但同时她也刻骨铭心地感受到身为一位美国人的特殊权益。

回到美国以后她在犹他大学以优异的成绩得到了她的中文学士学位。由于她集美丽与智慧于一身，梅轻纱成为爱德华瀑布小姐。她后来也成为犹他州公立中学的中文教师。由于梅轻纱致力于有趣的教学方法，她的学生非常喜爱学习中国语言。

梅清纱曾在犹他州长办公室担任翻译与口译员。2002年她在犹他奥运会三星公司担任翻译。她也曾在犹他-哈佛商业公司服务过。

梅清纱常负责接待来自台湾与中国大陆的国际宾客；因此她非常感激她的父母亲从小就努力教导她教会的教义，建立了她的宗教信仰。她有两个女儿-茉莉与美丽。她们是父母的小天使。她的先生Nate是她一生的挚爱。她确认上帝的手赐给她如此壮大的力量源泉。
